client briefFollowing the recent refurbishment of a number of meeting rooms, Farrer & Co was keen to consolidate an already established collection of fine art, and reorganise the collection into appropriate situations. Of utmost importance was the need to find works of art appropriate for a professional setting of this nature and that suited the style of the rooms.
One room was very bright with large windows and much natural light, modern commercial furnishings and crisp white plastered, painted walls. The other room, majestic and much more traditional - in keeping with the style of the original building - had very little natural light, and a wallpapered finish. The processAfter several telephone conversations and e-mail exchanges, a meeting was arranged which involved viewing the rooms and assessing the requirements for each of the locations for which art work was required.
Brook Gallery produced a series of suggested schemes with full details of artist profiles together with framing and costing details. From the document produced, with subsequent conversations by both phone and e-mail, the decision was made for two room schemes which were ultimately chosen. The deliveryWithin the space of 3 weeks, Brook Gallery had the work beautifully framed in bespoke handmade frames and delivered to Farrer & Co ready to hang.

client feedback"The firm already had a significant collection of works by celebrated artists which we had obtained over the years. Once it was decided to extend the collection, we explored various galleries and art establishments for a source of supply. Angela Yarwood at Brook Gallery was extremely helpful, willing to visit the office to see the spaces we wanted to fill and to bring examples of work by various artists to view. We were able to acquire the quality of work we were seeking at a competitive price, along with very useful guidance as to the positioning and hanging of the pieces." |
